My first para experience was with some ‘firang’ guy while on a holiday in Goa, and it was not up to my satisfaction. The idea of flying persisted, and then my friend Vikram Shroff recommended Nirvana. So close to Mumbai and coming recommended, I gave it a try one weekend. Sanjay runs a tight operation here. His instruction and equipment are impressive. |

An average day at work in Mumbai is filled with unreasonable deadlines and high stress. Escape to Native Place and Paragliding with Nirvana Adventures was a wonderful stress free time that I’ll always be grateful for. It is the perfect short break from Mumbai for someone looking for something to do as well as a comfortable, friendly, easygoing place to chill. |

I’m a tech-freak and trip out on working things out. Paragliding was a must do for me as the whole concept of how it flies fascinated me. I can’t however compare the satisfaction of having the wind in my face and the controls in my hands as I soar above it all to technology. Beauty & poetry wrapped up together-The best way to get your creative juices flowing. |

There are no words that can quite describe what it feels like to be up in the air, soaring above all of life's mundane realities. It's the most incredible feeling in the world! Exhilarating just about begins to describe it. I'm terrified of heights and I never believed that I'd reach this level, but the guys at Nirvana were brilliant - they believed I could do it, and I did. |

I joined the flying course hoping for some adrenalin-rushing activity. Contrary to what I expected, I found the experience of free-flight a very soothing and calming sort of a feeling. It's blissful to be up there, all by yourself, with a panoramic view of the hills and the sunset, birds flying by, feeling so close to nature and in harmony with it! |

I joined the P1 course along with anu and siva. After a couple of solo flights we all knew we would be coming back to join the P2 course. We just could not get the idea of a long soaring flight out of our minds and i for one kept imagining gliding along the ridge watching the sunset. Did that too and still have not had enough. |

My most memorable flight...The day I happened to touch cloud base. On a regular day at Shelar, conditions turned magical. A sudden cloud buildup on the horizon...I gained height and flew away from the ridge. I could hear Sanjay on the radio asking me to loose height...before I knew II was lost amongst the clouds and no matter what I did I stayed up and climbing. |

Came down from Sikkim to earn brownie points with the family and to take up what had been put down. Flew a hang-glider for about 5 seconds 10 years ago, and owing to the wonderful British climate, never got any further. Finally got back off the ground here. Worth the wait and bear in mind the British tendency to understate. |

I was impatient with the very first day of ground training. All those gliders up in the sky made me impatient further. My instructors were determined for me to do my time on the ground. Being an impatient old man myself, I was not the easiest one to handle. After a lot of hard work I finally tasted flight and it sure was sweet. I respect Nirvana's “safety comes first” policy. |

I’ve been drawn to the hills since I was 14. Rock climbing and trekking have been my passion. A year ago while traveling by train to a remote hillside, I spotted a lone paraglider flying in the hills. I was captivated. I believe I was destined to fly because only a few weeks later I saw a write-up on paragliding and Nirvana in the Times of India. I had no second thoughts. |
