Expat living in Delhi, Marco came to Kamshet as often as he could and brought his friend Fausto to fly with us as well. They enjoyed the food and the flying. He even taught Sanjay his family secret for making good pasta.

Name: Pankaj Khushawa

Sends us love from Russia and many cuss words when he is freezing and we are flying 3 to 4 hours an evening in winter. Kingfisher beer is his favored drink and we remember him each time we raise our glasses at Balu's. Click here to see details of his Moscow PG club's visit in February 2002

Name: Kai Vianden

He is the first hangie to have visited us and flown at Shelar and Pavna sites. He had everyone staring up at the sky like fledglings with open mouths as though we had never seen un-powered flight before. He runs a restaurant back home in Berlin. Cooking being a passion with him he had a blast in the air and in our kitchen tasting numerous new dishes and discovering new flavors, spices and ingredients. Back home he now takes classes in 'the art of cooking rice'!

Michael works in Hong Kong and did his P1 & P2 with us in December 2001. It was the time of the local village fair and he made the most of the festivities attending the nightly folk music specials. He was back to fly with us in March 2002 along with his friend Mark.

Pikoo an independent film maker, lives in Mumbai. He learnt with us in 97 and has been flying with us regularly since then. He has been on flying trips with us to Goa, Panchgani and Billing and comes up to Kamshet at least once a month. Pikoo simply cannot get enough of being high.

Name: Sachin Sandbhor

Sachin is by profession a policeman with a penchant for paragliding and photography. The pics on the Shivneri site and others are courtesy him. Sachin learnt to fly from Steve and has been flying with us at Kamshet for a few years now. He has been on flying trips with us to Goa, Panchgani, Shivneri, Billing and Nepal. He loves doing acro stuff and tandems and comes up to Kamshet whenever he can spare the time.

Dinesh lives in Pune and has been flying with us for the past 3 years. He drives over to Kamshet on most weekends with his girlfriend Rahel. He is always the first to leave for the flying site and is optimistic about the weather turning even on the rare unflyable day

An amateur HAM enthusiast from Bangalore Jai was responsible for organizing our 99’ Bangalore training camp. He too came to Kamshet to do his P2 and pick up a wing.

Hari did his P1 with us in Bangalore in October 1999. He too came to Kamshet a few months later to do his P2 and then to test out the new wing he bought. Together with Jai they make up our local ambassadors for the sport and we often get pilots passing through Bangalore to connect and fly with them.

His real name is a secret and has been the topic of at least a couple of EuroPG discussions. We had been in touch for years via email and when he did come to Kamshet in March 2003 it felt like we had known him for years. He brought Rex along (his stress management consultant) to learn ancient Indian stress busting techniques. A generous warm-hearted person, he definitely has a karmic connection with India.

Urs came in January 2003 and then again in March 2003. A Swiss Air pilot, he flies into India as often as he can and loves to make it up to Kamshet on short intense flying trips where enjoys his time in the air as well as the Indian food served at our guesthouse. Urs is due back in November 2003.
